Apple continuing to investigate 'a few' iOS battery issue

While Thursday’s iOS 5.0.1 update seems to have addressed the battery issues for many users of iOS 5 devices, Apple hasn’t finished its detective work just yet.
Even after the update, some users have continued to report problems with their battery life, but it seems as though Apple is not about to leave those folks in the lurch.

“The recent iOS software update addressed many of the battery issues that some customers experienced on their iOS 5 devices,” Apple spokesperson Trudy Muller told Macworld. “We continue to investigate a few remaining issues.”
The battery problems, which affected some devices running the latest version of Apple’s mobile operating system, caused the charge to drain abnormally quickly.
